Scott

Scott
In between being sheethand on the Rag & Famish 18' Skiff and teaching John how to sail his Moth, Scott is our resident sailingbits.com IT guru. Scott has been sailing for over 20 years with varied success including a 2nd and 5th in the 2007 and 2008 Moth World Championships, and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 2006, 2005 and 2004 29er World Championships. With continuous campaigns in the 18 and Moth and the odd 49er or 29er race, Scott spends the odd spare moment updating his popular blog, or occasionally spending a day in the office.

John

John
Moth World Champion John is a stalwart of the Sydney sailing establishment with close to 15 years sailing on 18' Skiffs. John is responsible for product development at sailingbits.com, finding the best products and the best manufacturers. John won the 18' JJ Giltinan Trophy way back in 2001, and in the seven painful years since has filled every other place in the top 6. The Olympic dream has also lured John into a couple of years on the front of a 470, and a couple more on the back of a 49er. So, if you're looking for the latest kit, talk to John.

Alex

Alex
Alex is a veteran Sydney to Hobart campaigner, who keeps the sailingbits.com ship afloat financially. After teaching herself how to sail a Flying Eleven out of her backyard in Balmain, Alex abandoned her show-jumping dreams and took to the seas with the Youth Sailing Academy at the CYC and hasn't looked back. When she's finished balancing the books, Alex enjoys writing the odd sailing related press release, and hunting down non-paying customers.
